Ahh Tuesday. The last day of this wonderful 5 day weekend. I can't believe how quickly it's come and gone.

Saturday was fun. Kate and Mia and I went to Kate's friend Tara's for a little barbeque. There were a lot of people I didn't know so it was a little awkward, but it was a nice night. Then Sunday morning was a little band practice followed by Mia's birthday. Kate put together this whole Lion King party and it was excellent, even though it rained. She made a cake with all the characters on it and she made up all these games ("Hot Baby Simba" and "Pin the Simba on the Rafiki") and it was great. Mia was being kind of shy and crabby, but it was fun anyway. After the party Kate, Mia, Romie (Mia's cousin) and I came back to my house and ate pizza and ice cream and had fun for a while. Then the kids went to bed and Kate and I spent some quality alone time together. Yesterday was more band practice in the morning followed by cleaning up the house. Then Kate made dinner (meat loaf and mashed potatoes and carrots and yummmmm) and we ate it. So yummy. Then we watched a movie with Mia and went for a run and watched a little TV and I came home and passed out and now here I am.

Today is the Cubs / Cardinals game. We're leaving in probably an hour, which is kind of annoying since the game doesn't start for 3. My dad is weird like that. Rob and my uncle Keith will be joining us, which should be fun.

Not much else is going on. My parents are back from Decatur, obviously. Back to work tomorrow. Blah. I'd better get ready for the game. Bye bye.
