I got 4 tickets to see Thrice in Urbana. Who wants to come with?! I think Rizzi has one ticket claimed already. 2 left. E-mail me!!!
I saw Ben Kweller tonight (err, last night) with Tom, Sara (my sister) and her friend Jason from school. It was a pretty good show. The opening band that we saw was kind of a sleeper, but Ben rocked as expected. He played all of "Sha Sha", plus a few new songs which sounded excellent. Apparently he has a new album coming out this year too. Add another to the list. My head is going to explode.

Phyllis just stopped by for a little while. We talked a bit and then I played guitar. She seemed to enjoy just laying there listening to me fuck around. I wasn't even playing whole songs. I never do. I'm an idiot.

I'm so tired. Sara goes back to school this morning. Hopefully she'll wake me up to say goodbye before she leaves.

The Miller boys and Miss Tasic are in town. It's always great to see those kids. Hopefully some fun stuff will happen tomorrow. Now I go to sleep.

More music info. The new Alkaline Trio album will be released on May 13th. The title is "Good Mourning". The track list is as follows:

1. This Could Be Love
2. We've Had Enough
3. 100 Stories
4. Continental
5. All On Black
6. Emma
7. Fatally Yours
8. Every Thug Needs A Lady
9. Blue Carolina
10. Donner Party
11. If We Never Go Inside
12. Blue In The Face

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am about this album. I may be more excited about this than any other new album, including MxPx and NOFX and Radiohead and Five Iron Frenzy and Blink and Suicide Machines. That's saying a lot, I think. The only album that excites me more is the Thrice album. But that's not going to be released until JUNE or something, so I'll just pretend I don't know about it yet and focus on the Trio! Yee haw.

I'm at work right now. I just finished lunch. Tonight is Ben Kweller. Thank God it's Friday.

Can we kill each other quickly?

"Before Everything and After" is the name of the new MxPx album. I hate not knowing what to expect, although at least in this case I know it'll be good.

I need to eat.
It is late and I'm tired. But it's ok because I just finished a brand new song, lyrics and everything... and I think it sounds pretty good. I'm really excited about this album now. It's slowly becoming a reality, and it's a great feeling. I think the best part may be that Jon Sarmiento has agreed to help (who am I kidding, he'll do all the hard work) with the design of the label and insert for it. In case you don't know, Jon is in his 3rd year at U of I studying graphic design, and he's a champ. He'll be in town in mid-March recording some new songs for the band that he plays drums in, The Dynamo Theorem. I think that website is under construction right now, but you can check them out here too. They're definitely a neat band, and apparently they've just added a saxophone to the mix. It should be interesting to hear. That's the good news for the night.

Time to pass out.

Paul has a weblog now! That's right kids. The entire world will bow to Bill's wishes! Actually, Paul and I just want to show Bill how crappy his weblog is.

The first season of the Osbournes came out on DVD today and I bought it. I love the Osbournes. I also picked up some White Stripes CDs. See, cuz I'm going to see them with Robert in LONDON (insert scream here), so it would be nice if I knew more than 3 songs.

I'm about to call Tom (who is still not in Boston... long story) and we're gonna watch some of this Osbournes DVD and chill. Maybe I'll post later... maybe not.

P.S. I hope it snows so much that they cancel work tomorrow. That would be the best thing ever.

I returned home a short while ago from the Hawks game. They played Colorado, which was the main reason I went, and they lost in OT! It was a great game for sure. Zhamnov scored twice on "Alex Zhamnov bobble-head night" which is hilarious. One of the goals was with 2.9 seconds left in regulation to send the game into OT. Then Peter Forsberg got the puck about 2 minutes into OT and that was the end of that. That guy can do everything. My boy Joey Sakic scored, which kicked ass. And I had a Corona w/ lime for 7 dollars. I love beer, but seriously... 7 bucks?

I gotta work tomorrow. Shitty. It's only 10:30 though, so I might work on a song or two before I pass out. Maybe I'll try hypnotizing myself tonight instead of sleeping...? Then I can turn into Peter from Office Space...

Bob: "Peter, looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately..."
Peter: "Well I wouldn't say that I've been missing it!"
I just rolled out of bed. Sleeping kicks ass, but it takes too much time. Long ago my cousin told me that when you're hypnotized it's like you're sleeping times 2. So you'd only have to be hypnotized for 4 hours to get a full 8 hours of sleep! Now, this is complete bullshit, but wouldn't that be cool? I'd have so much more time to do things, like whack off and play guitar.

The Coldplay and Foo Fighters b-sides I got last night are kind of disappointing. The Coldplay ones moreso. At least I finally got "The One" by the Foo on CD. And I know the Flaming Lips album is good. And the Sum 41 album can't be too bad cuz I like the 3 singles already. So I can't complain.

Anyone wanna go see Ben Kweller with me on Friday? I have 6 tickets and I'm going alone as of right now. Although after talking with Tom this morning, he might not be off to Boston afterall, so he may end up going with me. I'll talk more about that later.

I need some eggs or something. And bacon. Yum.
