This post comes to you from Decatur, IL. I just bought 6 Alkaline Trio tickets, so all is well.

My cousin is sitting on the couch, like the bum he is, telling me about Metallica's new bassist. Last night when I got here at about 6:30 PM, we headed straight to the Decatur Civic Center to see my other 2 cousins ice skate. It was cute, cuz most of the other kids were about 6 years old and they kept falling on their asses. Kirsten (same one from the last post) was doing some crazy jumps, but apparently she wasn't going all out because it was supposed to be a fun show for everyone. Then there were these other two girls (they called them "guest skaters") who were doing all sorts of showing off, and Kirsten was talking about tripping them on their way out after the show. She's hilarious.

After that, Erik and I went to Texas Road House to eat some steaks. That place is fantastic, I tell you. I've never had a steak quite so good in my life. I also drank some green Budweiser, which was strange but refreshing. On the way out we saw my aunt and uncle and all the kids and some of their friends at the same restaurant! Crazy.

I'll post more later. I gots to go get some milk with Erik. Oh yeah, jamming will occur this afternoon! Woo! Have a good day kids.

I'm at work right now, listening to the new Mad Caddies album! It's good stuff, definitely better than their last one. "Drinking For 11" is my jam. If you can download it, do so now.

I'm outta here early today (at about 3:30) to leave for Decatur to visit my aunt and uncle and cousins. I have my guitar amp, the new bass amp that Tom gave me, and of course my guitar all loaded into el coche. Erik (oldest cousin in Decatur) and Kirsten's (second oldest) boyfriend Nick and I are going to rock the hell out of... something. Erik apparently sings like a champion (which I still have yet to confirm), and I guess Nick is pretty damn good on the drums, so it should be a lot of fun. We'll probably just mess around and play covers, but who knows... maybe we'll write a song about Satan called "Alone With You".

I went out with Dayna last night. It was the first time I'd seen her in 2 weeks, so it was excellent. First we went to Ruby Tuesday where Dayna ate some salad and I drank a couple huge Killian's. I'm so used to drinking Budweiser all the time, so it was a nice change of pace. Then we went to this bar called Otto's on the corner of Finley and Crescent, right next to where Finley crosses the tracks. That probably means nothing to you, but I don't care. Anyway, I had a Guiness and it was tasty as hell. It was actually an alright place, compared to what I was expecting. On the way home Dayna and I decided it would be great if we went there during the summer and got really trashed cuz then we could walk to my house. No driving! It's only about a mile away, and if you're drunk on a summer night? I can't think of anything better than a nice walk. Who wants to come?

This is the longest post yet, I think. I should probably finish lunch and get back to work so I can leave on time. Have a good weekend everyone! I'll post again when I get home.

P.S. Trio tickets on sale tomorrow morning!!!

Yay! Read this, from the Reel Big Fish website.

The VANS WARPED TOUR--North America's longest-running traveling festival tour--will release their first-ever live DVD April 1. The VANS WARPED TOUR LIVE DVD features live performances and exclusive interviews with bands from the 2002 tour, as well as behind the scenes footage and action-packed demos from the Moto X and skate park.

The DVD features 27 live songs, with performances from Bad Religion, New Found Glory, NOFX, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Something Corporate, Flogging Molly, MxPx, Reel Big Fish, The Used, Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, Anti-Flag, Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music, Ozma, Morgan Heritage and others.
Listening to a 30 second clip of a new Thrice song. On repeat. I'm going to explode. The guitars on this blow my mind.

I saw Mica tonight. Yes, that's right. Mica. I'm sure most of you people that read this think I'm the biggest idiot ever, and you're probably right. But it was good to see her and her mommy and just catch up. I feel good about the situation. I don't know that it'll be a regular thing really, but what the hell.

I didn't work on any lyrics tonight. Ya gotta take a break sometime, right?

Sleep time.

Ahh, home after a long day of work. It wasn't really that long compared to, like, Steve Finkler's work day which is 10 hours long. But I don't give a shit.

Last night I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Mr. Chris Hopkins. He hadn't eaten dinner (it was almost 10 PM, what an idiot), so he had 18 wings. I was full from eating pizza for dinner so I just drank some Budweiser. We talked for quite a while about a lot of things. I've gotta say, he pisses me off sometimes and he is completely insane, but I'm glad he's still my friend. So here's to Chris. Wish him luck in the Navy.

Bill, on the other hand, is an asshole. I hope he accidentally shoots his head officer or captain or whoever the hell it is. Then I hope he gets kicked out of the army and joins Good Charlotte. 'naptown, WHAT?! I think he would look great with a mohawk or those crazy Liberty spikes, and he could have those black tears drawn in like Benji. So cool!

I think it's time to write some more lyrics. Here goes...

I'm at work right now. I'm listening to Battle Hymns by the Suicide Machines. It's fantastic and loud as hell, except for the song "Give" which is almost pretty. "You've gotta look before you leap (whoa yeaaah!) take a good look at your so-called friends..." These boys are releasing a new album soon. Let's hope it's better than their last couple.

Trio tickets go on sale on Saturday. I'm getting 6, so if you want to go you'd better let me know before they're all gone.

I should probably get back to work. First I'm going to go take a crap. Bye.

Everyone seems to have funny or informative posts about politics or Satan (you decide which is funny and which is informative). My posts consist of bullshit that no one cares about. It's ok though. At least I have a really cool dog that loves everyone.

See? Yet another post consisting of bullshit that no one cares about.

Time to play guitar.
I'm listening to a new Trio song. It's called "This Could Be Love" and it rocks pretty damn hard. I can't wait for this album. I know I already said that, but I hate waiting. I'm an impatient boy.

I worked on a song called "Listen" tonight. It's the one I started writing the other night. I wish I weren't such a perfectionist so I could just be happy with something that's alright in the first place. This is something I've been struggling with since I started writing music, but maybe it'll end up being a good thing. We'll see.

Monday night RAW has been kicking ass lately. There, I said it.

Bed time!

Working title for my new album: One Year.

I know, it's nothing mind blowing or exciting, but it's something.

I feel weird saying "my album". I mean, it is MINE but it's still weird. I'm going to sleep now.

Thanks to Marissa and Jen for helping me with the title. I'll update again when I feel like it. Goodnight!

Woo! Trio is playing at the Riviera on May 15th! 2 days after their new album comes out! Yee haw!!!
I went to Tree's last night for Lonnie Smith's birthday. Sviat (sp?) Pulipczek (sp?) showed up, who I haven't seen since junior high, so that was pretty crazy. I drank some beers and some rums and cokes and did some jello shots and had some cigars and it was good times. Now my mouth tastes like a damn cigar again.

I think we're having some family over today, which I knew nothing about until yesterday. But that doesn't make it ok for me to leave, which sucks. There'll be tasty food at least. I'm hungry.

I got about half done with lyrics for another song last night before I went to Tree's. They're my favorite lyrics so far, because they're about MUSIC and how great it is. I can't even begin to explain what music means to me, so I'm not going to try. Let's just say that music is the most important thing in my life, besides family and friends. And it even beats out some of them, really.

I also love food. Time to eat some. I gotta call Dayna the drunk too.
