This weekend was totally bitchin'. First off, it was four days long. Second, it was Thanksgiving weekend. Third, I got to see my girls (Kate & Mia) every day.
Wednesday was a short day at work. Our excellent manager, John Kennedy, let us take off at 3 PM. This was great, mostly because it allowed Kate, Mia, Sara and I to beat traffic and get down to Decatur in a reasonable amount of time. It was a pretty easy drive, and we listened to a lot of Queen. One of Mia's favorite songs is "Don't Stop Me Now" - ya know, that totally homosexual song with the line, "I'm a sex machine ready to re-load, like an atom bomb... I'm gonna whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa explooooooooode!!!" You can't beat that.
So yeah - we hung out at my aunt and uncle's place in Decatur, had a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner, then Kate, Mia and I headed to a hotel on Thursday night. We "did a li'l swimmin' ", and Mia pretty much dove into the hot tub. She'd never really been underwater, so Kate and I were afraid she'd freak out. We grabbed her out of there in a hurry, but we knew everything was ok when Mia said, "I'm a clown!" a couple seconds later. What a weirdo.
Saturday we had a family birthday party at my house. Mia couldn't come, but Kate made it. I ate a lot more food and we had some fun times. Then today we did some Christmas shopping, went to the park, played Scattergories, played Taboo, and drank a little. It was fantastic.
Tomorrow is work, but I think it'll be ok because December is full of fun stuff. I need to sleep. Goodnight.
