Went to the Cubs game today with my Dad. It was a pretty exciting game, but they lost. Again. You know, those Cubs lose every time I see them. And not only do they lose, but they play like a bunch of idiots. Sigh. Can't I just catch them on a good day? At least once this year?

Speaking of the Cubs, did you hear about Kyle Farnsworth?

"Chicago Cubs reliever Kyle Farnsworth, frustrated after his outing Friday against Houston, kicked a metal fan and injured his right knee so badly that he had to be placed on the 15-day disabled list. Farnsworth has a severe contusion and sprain of his right knee, and could be sidelined for three weeks." (click here for the whole story)

What the hell?! I'm not even going to say anymore about that.

That's all for now. I'm sleepy.

Wow, I haven't posted in a long time. I've thought about it more than once over the past couple of weeks, but I always remember that it takes a lot of effort for me to put my meaningless thoughts into words. Plus I'm really lazy. Not sure how today is any different, but whatever. Here goes.

Since I last posted, Paul and Laura and I took a great trip to visit Pete and Rachel in San Francisco. And I must say, what a great fucking city. I totally recommend vacationing there. A bit on the expensive side, and a bit on the hilly side, but it's totally worth it. Maybe one day I'll try and get some pictures up on here. We caught a Cubs / Giants game, which was terrible because the Cubs played like absolute shit. Nice ballpark though. We went to Sonoma (wine country), which was probably my favorite part of the trip. Played some bocce ball at one of the wineries. We walked around Golden Gate park, which was excellent. Only bad thing is that Kate wasn't there. Maybe next time...

The weekend after that trip, Bill and Chris were in town. We went to a Cubs game on Thursday, which sucked cuz the Cubs lost in a rainy, delayed, 11 inning game. It was ok, though, cuz we drank a lot of beer and made fun of Sammy. On Friday we did some drunken bowling and rocked out to some Bon Jovi afterwards. Saturday was another successful party at my house. We played a lot of wiffleball, drank some more beer, did some wine tasting courtesy of Jeff Carr, and watched some classic episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Rob and I were up until like 7 AM just hanging out and talking. Unfortunately, Bill had to fly back to Ft. Bragg on Sunday morning, but it was definitely a great weekend.

I've been spending way too much money lately. Actually, not just lately, but since I got this job at Interlake (almost 2 years ago!). I've decided to force myself to stick to a tight budget by leaving my debit card at home and only taking out $30-$40 each week from the ATM. I feel confident that this will solve all my stupid money problems and Kate and Mia and I will be able to move out by next summer. I hate student loans.

The Cubs have been playing pretty well. Knock on wood.

Ian's playing tonight at the Double Door - I'm excited.

That's all for now.
