So LaTroy Hawkins just blew a damn save and he still gets a win!!! How can that be right? Wood pitched 7 strong innings, was up 4-1 when he left, and he gets a no decision. LaTroy comes in with a 4-3 lead, gives up a run and the lead in the 9th, and he gets a win. Come on! That doesn't make any sense! It's just like when Steve Stone said, "Cubs relievers have given up only 5 earned runs in the last 30 innings" or whatever. What about the inherited baserunners that those relievers let score? I mean, why not have "Assisted Runs" or "Half Runs" or something? More often than not, it takes more than one hit to give up an earned run. Let's say I give up a double and then a reliever comes in and gives up a run-scoring single. Is it really completely my fault that that run scored? Sure, I gave up the double, but come on. It's as much the reliever's fault that he scored. I'm telling you, they should have half-runs.

Enough of my bitching. The Cubs won, and that's all that really matters.

I'm tired. Goodnight.
