We're leaving in less than an hour for Midway Airport, from which we will fly to Jacksonville, FL. I can't believe it's today. Finally!!!

Right now I'm copying a few more CDs to mini-disc for the flight. Did I ever tell you how great mini-discs are? For this flight I'm bringing one little plastic case (about 3" x 3" x 1.5"), which holds 6 mini-discs. On these 6 mini-discs, I've copied a total of 20 full length albums in almost perfect CD quality. That's a beautiful thing. Plus, you can erase mini-discs, re-write to them, copy over them, create groups (I use one for each album), skip from group to group, use text for song and album titles, etc etc etc. And you can throw them around without the disc getting scratched. But best of all, the mini-disc player that I have takes one double A battery. I've had the same battery in it over the course of 3 different trips - to London, Phoenix, and Mexico. I also have a mini-disc player in my car, which hooks up to a 6 disc CD changer. I can't believe more people don't use mini-discs.
